We just competed our largest, and fourth project with Philippe and his team from NW Residential Inc.

This project included a complete kitchen demo and update, and removing a wall to open up the kitchen to the living room, creating a beautiful open space to compliment the mid-century age of our home. He turned an old fireplace into a beautiful centerpiece of attention, this was a brilliant work.

I can say without a doubt that I had a fantastic renovation experience. I know, this is something you rarely hear! I had a lot of trepidation going into this project. I met with a lot of different people, trying to find the right connection with someone. As a woman, it was even more challenging. This was a sizeable, and moderately complex project, which involved the demolition of a brick chimney and half of a patio, the addition of new room onto a house built in 1945, the replacement of an older electrical panel and movement of our main electrical supply, and substantial plumbing work.

Philippe was efficient, in control, and highly conscientious. He chose very professional and qualified subcontractors and we found the communication and coordination to be excellent. Philippe estimated that the project would be done within three months, and it took exactly three months to the day. Philippe did a lot of the internal finishing work, which was perfectly done.

Despite reaching out to many contractors, we were unable to get multiple bids, so it is difficult to provide a cost comparison with other contractors, but the cost of the project appeared to be reasonable and significantly less than some of the larger design-build firms would have charged. Philippe was also very responsive to any concerns we had about cost, and gave us good advice on where we could cut corners and where it would not be advisable to do so.

The house looks great, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We highly recommend NW Residential and Philippe.

Very impressed with Philippe and everyone he works with. Philippe took the time to make sure the layout would be exactly what we wanted. He gave us several quotes/ideas to work with so that we would know all of our options and the cost of each prior to starting our project. Philippe answered or returned all my calls within a few hours. He was very understanding and supportive of my request for attention to detail and displayed excellent communication with everyone involved. Philippe made sure all work with of the highest quality and looked beautiful even if that meant having to redo something. Our project was started on time, kept on schedule and completed a few days early. Everyone involved was respectful and courteous. Philippe remodeled 3 bathrooms in our home and we are delighted with the final results. Philippe demonstrated wonderful workmanship in the tiling of the shower and tub areas. The hickory vanities are beautiful as are the quartz countertops. The flooring looks great and we love the barn door style shower doors. Philippe left the work areas clean and orderly each evening and placed protective cloths over carpeted areas in the house to keep them free of debris during his work day. We were happy with all of his subs and the quality of their workmanship. This is our first major remodel and working with Philippe has been a positive experience. We are very pleased with our beautiful bathrooms!

Philippe, Ron & Adam did an outstanding job on our kitchen. They completely gutted the original 1977 vintage kitchen and installed our dream kitchen, along with a new circuit breaker panel in the garage. They were on time every day, and work was done exactly when they said it would be done. They cleaned up nicely every day. The subcontractors were also on time, starting and finishing when they said they would. Despite a couple of minor glitches that were handled immediately, the project was finished on-budget and three days early. The best Valentine’s Day present we ever got! We plan to use Philippe and crew again to remodel both of our bathrooms.

We completed two bathroom tear-outs with NW Residential. Philippe had great attention to detail in terms of what we wanted to accomplish and the materials we wanted to use. He let us know his schedule up-front, was able to stick to it even with a few change-orders mid-stream, and completed remodel work in a timely and professional manner. Philippe worked with us and let us complete some of the activities to save on project cost, assuming we didn’t get in the way of his schedule. We were very impressed with Philippe from the beginning when he first came over to give us a quote. He was very professional yet easy to work with. Philippe and his crew were at our house on time, respectful, and cleaned up at the end of the day. They let us know what they would be doing and what the upcoming schedule was looking like. Philippe always answered our questions and emails quickly. They do beautiful and detailed work. We did a tiled backsplash in a herringbone pattern. It was time consuming, but they did an exquisite job. We would not hesitate to hire Philippe again. We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen.

Phillipe was easy to work with; very professional, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He went above and beyond our expectations. We imposed some project finish deadlines up front, and he worked hard to meet those deadlines while still displaying quality work. We would definitely contact him for work on future projects and have referred him to all of our friends for their projects as well.

I had my kitchen and master bathroom remodeled by NW Residential. I also had new laminate flooring put in the kitchen, dining room, and entryway. Philippe and Ron did a fabulous job on everything. For the kitchen, I had new cabinets, countertops, lighting, appliances, range vent, and tile backsplash installed. They also did the painting throughout. The cabinets, lighting, and countertops were done through subcontractors Philippe works with, but he makes sure everything is completed the way you want it to be. He also made recommendations as we worked through the estimate to keep the costs down. Ron did the tilework and the flooring and it turned out great. For the bathroom, I had Philippe close off the open vanity area using a barn door and he took down a wall and converted it to a pony wall. He was really meticulous with the barn door installation and it turned out perfect. Ron did the tiling in the bathroom and it looks fantastic. I also had new fixtures and shower door for the bathroom. I work from home and both Philippe and Ron were very courteous about making sure my office door was closed if there was a lot of noise. They also cleaned up every day before leaving. Throughout the remodel Ron and Philippe made sure everything looked the way I wanted it to which I really appreciated because I am very particular. I also made a few minor changes like the paint color in the bathroom that Philippe and Ron readily agreed to. I had one very small issue with the dishwasher that Philippe came out to fix the next day (on a Saturday). I would definitely use NW Residential again.

The NW Residential crew (Owner Philippe, Ron and Brian) are professional, detail oriented and skilled craftsmen. They completed the project in a timely manner with top quality. The result exceeded our expectations. The work site was cleaned thoroughly after each work day. Philippe worked on a daily base with his team on the project, managed and overlooked all the subcontractor’s work. He also provided very helpful resources and contacts. Any changes to the original plan were easily discussed and included in the project. The work was finished within the agreed budget. Philippe provided us with an itemized list which gave us detailed information on how much money was budgeted for materials (tiles, countertops, cabinets, etc.) This gave us the control and flexibility to stay in budget based on our choices. We would (and do) highly recommend NW Residential without hesitations to friends and neighbors.

NW Residential did a great job! We are very happy with the decision to work with Phillipe and his team. High quality work on a project that was done on schedule and on budget. We were looking for a relationship that would allow us to do some of the work that made sense, so that we could spend the money on quality components and stay in our price target. We were able to do the demolition and painting and spend the money on improvements. We also re-piped the house just before, so we were able to have NW Residential work with our plumber. Proposal process was very professional and logical. Phillipe took the time to understand what we were trying to do. Proposal had an initial budget for services and also an allowance for different materials. We adjusted the materials, but the services pretty much stayed the same as long as the work was in line. Once we defined the project, it was managed to budget and schedule. The crew showed up every day that they said they would on time. They did a great job of cleaning up every day, although remodeling can be a bit disorienting for the homeowners! Everyone on his crew was also great to work with. You could tell they have worked together on many jobs. You could tell that NW Residential took the time and effort to do things right. The shower tiling system was very innovative and made things look much better. Not the lowest, or highest cost contractor that we talked to, but we made the right choice. We will certainly look to work with NW Residential in the future for our kitchen remodel.

We had a basement bathroom in desperate need of a remodel. Philippe was very patient with us and answered all our questions. Philippe and the rest of his crew were very professional with our project. We originally wanted him to do just the bathroom and then changed our minds and asked him to replace all our interior doors as well. That was no problem for him. The bathroom turned out better than we had expected. It is beautiful. It is our guest bathroom and is not used very often but now our guests can be comfortable in the large walk in shower. I recommend you use Phillipe’s cabinet maker. He is amazing. We actually went out to his workshop and chose all of our features and the color. They turned out fantastic! Definitely one of the focal points in the new bathroom. I would definitely recommend NW Residential for any remodel. We will surely call them again when we decide on our next project.

My wife and I have a hard time saying how much we enjoyed working with Philippe and Ron! They were great in everything they did. Ron was here on time and he and his associates worked their tails off to get the job done. We had two bathrooms in our 1971 house and now we have two brand-new bathrooms that are spectacular! Our home was built in 1950, and on the main floor there was a single bathroom which opened off the hall. This was a large bathroom, about 14′ x 14.’ By tearing out two clothes closets and a linen closet, we were able to divide that large bathroom into two bathrooms—a master bathroom off our bedroom and a half-bath off the main hall. The project included tearing down existing walls, pulling up floors (beneath which were discovered older tile floors and a disconnected hot water radiant heating system), rerouting plumbing and electrical, building custom cabinetry, installing granite countertops, building and tiling and a frameless glass shower, drywall work, interior painting, laying tile floors, and moving furniture. Also tongue-and-groove oak floors were discovered beneath the wall-to-wall carpet of the adjacent rooms, so we had the carpet pulled up and those floors refinished as well. Philippe and his people were a joy to work with, and we were impressed with Phillipe’s work ethic and his many skills. Everything turned out beautifully and on time. Philippe promptly returned our phone calls and e-mails, he laid out a construction timetable and adhered to it, he cleaned up the jobsite every night and left things tidy, and his documentation of work performed and change orders was very professional. This was our first experience with a general contractor, and we were completely satisfied. We wholeheartedly recommend Philippe to the Angie’s List community, and we’ll call him again when we remodel our kitchen. Henceforth, Philippe will be at the top of our go-to list whenever we need work like this done.

Our bathroom was about 26 years old, although it had been gently used over those years, it was time for a remodel. I went to Angie’s List to find a contractor. I chose NW Residential based on the glowing reports the company had received. It was a wise choice. I could not be happier with the outcome. Their expertise, attention to detail, reliability, and plain old hard work has given me a final product that will stand for another 26 years. They showed up when they said they were going to and completed the job when they said they would. There were no hitches in the process and no HGTV inspired dramas. Everything went very smoothly. The bathroom has been completed for about four weeks. Right after the remodel; we had company, so all of the work was immediately put to the test–shower heads, toilet, faucets, light fixtures–it all functioned beautifully.
