Our home was built in 1950, and on the main floor there was a single bathroom which opened off the hall. This was a large bathroom, about 14′ x 14.’ By tearing out two clothes closets and a linen closet, we were able to divide that large bathroom into two bathrooms—a master bathroom off our bedroom and a half-bath off the main hall. The project included tearing down existing walls, pulling up floors (beneath which were discovered older tile floors and a disconnected hot water radiant heating system), rerouting plumbing and electrical, building custom cabinetry, installing granite countertops, building and tiling and a frameless glass shower, drywall work, interior painting, laying tile floors, and moving furniture. Also tongue-and-groove oak floors were discovered beneath the wall-to-wall carpet of the adjacent rooms, so we had the carpet pulled up and those floors refinished as well. Philippe and his people were a joy to work with, and we were impressed with Phillipe’s work ethic and his many skills. Everything turned out beautifully and on time. Philippe promptly returned our phone calls and e-mails, he laid out a construction timetable and adhered to it, he cleaned up the jobsite every night and left things tidy, and his documentation of work performed and change orders was very professional. This was our first experience with a general contractor, and we were completely satisfied. We wholeheartedly recommend Philippe to the Angie’s List community, and we’ll call him again when we remodel our kitchen. Henceforth, Philippe will be at the top of our go-to list whenever we need work like this done.

Our bathroom was about 26 years old, although it had been gently used over those years, it was time for a remodel. I went to Angie’s List to find a contractor. Right after the remodel; we had company, so all of the work was immediately put to the test–shower heads, toilet, faucets, light fixtures–it all functioned beautifully.
